About The Author

Darius Hinks’s first novel, Warrior Priest, won the David Gemmell Morningstar award for best newcomer.

Since then, he’s refused to let anyone prise the award from his claw-like grip, which has made writing slightly harder (the award keeps clunking against his keyboard and adding entirely inappropriate scenes). He struggled through this adversity to produce a second novel, Sigvald, before his keyboard collapsed. he is now in the market for a nice quill pen.
